Who is a woman? I was actually inspired to write this poem by some pretty amazing women, thanks to my sociology assignment I was working on. I even submitted it to print in our school magazine. So, I hope you love it as much as I do. here goes, Enjoy! A woman is someone who is born in this world the same way as a man. A woman is someone who is capable of doing things anyone else can. A woman's ability is not prioritized only to housework, nursing or giving birth. A woman is born equal to a man on this earth. But a woman is not treated equally. She is treated inferior, even to a cow. That's what our country has come to, God knows how. A woman is someone who is smart, beautiful,strong and even fun. If you haven't met a woman like that, then you haven't met one. Being a man, probably has its disadvantages too. But being a woman we have, let's face it, more disadvantages than you. So let's stop this now and treat everyone in the same way they deserve...

Everyday millions of people around the world are forced to flee their homes. They have to leave everything behind and look forward to a bleak future, if they have a future. Can you imagine leaving behind everything you know and love? And be forced to flee inorder to survive? Well, I can't imagine it. The refugees who flee not only do they leave their homes, but their families too. Families are torn apart with the uncertainty that they will ever see their loved ones again. They have suffered tremendous loss in the process. Some have nothing and no one left to return too. Others have to live with their grief. But they still show considerable resilience. The story of refugees was all over the media. Refugees looking for refuge. Some were welcomed with love, others hate. The world seems to see refugees as a bad omen. Unwanted, Terrorists, just because they are fleeing terrorism. But can't people see that they are ordinary human beings looking for new homes for their families?  for ...

Ukuleles are small, beautiful and peaceful instruments. Its mostly played in Hawaii and famous for its Hawaiian tunes. The little four stringed instrument has a peaceful sound and it's portable. You can carry it around anywhere and everywhere. And it's a ukulele!!  I love them. Recently as an early birthday present I got a ukulele, a soprano and the colour is surf green.  It's looks fantastic. It's a makala brand and I'm in love with it. I can't stop playing it. I love the sound. I can play songs like somewhere over the Rainbow, can't help falling in love with you, Hey soul sister, with or without you, still haven't found what i'm looking for, hallelujah are some of the tunes I can play. Okay, so lady crushes! What can I say about That? Well, you know what? all I can say is that everybody, whether a girl or boy, woman or man will have a crush or be a little attracted to the same Sex. We all go through it, part of growing up right? Or is it just Me?  Anyway, I'm proud to say I have a lady crush. And not just any lady. Freaking Ruby rose. Her body and face and beautiful tattoos just shout, " sexy attractive human being!" and I completely agree. A hundred percent. She is really sexy and attractive and I'm not attracted to girls, but I'm attracted to Ruby apparently. Can't explain why. I just do. Is it her sexy Australian accent? I watched this documentary one day.. The next morning I saw everything around me not in the same way. It was a documentary on climate change. It made me realize our earth is precious and everything in it, from the trees to the seas to the crops growing in the fields. From the glaciers of the icy mountains, To the wonderful fountains. From the fish in the sea and coral reefs, to the water we waste when Others have no water to taste. The animals too are a vital part, not something that can be turned into a piece of art. All this is fading away each day, because we humans are worse than animals so to say. Maybe we cannot do great things to save our earth, but we can try in our own small way, hoping that our great great grandchildren could see some part of our beautiful earth one day. ( well, what's left of it anyway) What we do to our environment is for us to choose. Because the planet and everything we love and cherish is ours to lose.

Yes, what to do when you're really quite sick in bed the whole day? Well, Look on the bright side, you got to skip school!  But as I lay sick in bed with a really bad cold and head aching that I couldn't get up and eyes looking like I have conjunctivitis, or did I? It was just a really boring day actually. I lay sleeping most of the time. But I had to do something more than just sleep. Instead, I thought why not continue reading my book which was by the way catch 22 .  It is brilliant and so far I'm enjoying it. I couldn't look at my mobile screen the whole day so I decided to read a good book. And maybe listen to some music. So I guess reading would definitely be in my list of things to do when I'm sick in bed all day and a good collection of music to lighten your sickly mood.There you go. Problem solved.

The reason what made me write this silly poem or what inspired me was the song 'Air hostess ' by the band Busted. Only this one is about the male flight attendants. 

So our second day of staying in Singapore started with us getting up early having a nutritious breakfast which is part of our hotel package. We got ready with our travel apparel (Oh! That rhymed!)  our shoes, hats and cameras. We were going on a tour to the city of Singapore. We waited for our coach to arrive to proceed on to the city. This local man entered and called out our names. We followed and reached a big bus. We were the first ones so we got good seats. After everyone was picked up he introduced himself as Robin. Robin the tour guide. He was a really good tour guide. He was really humorous. So we enjoyed plenty. Even though I've not travelled much I literally think "Robin the tour guide" was the best one. He took us on the Singapore flyer which looked similar to the London Eye. You could see the whole view of the city of Singapore. Including the other attractions. It was really amazing. I could have stayed up forever. But I had to come down at some point. Later w...

Well, as I'm sitting here in my hotel room in Singapore called Aqueen jelan besar I'm just thinking about our whole journey here. Our flight from Goa to Malaysia was 4 hours 50 minutes. To tell you the truth.. There was strong turbulence in the flight because of the rain. When we landed in Malaysia the airport looked so wonderful but we had to hurry to get our connecting flight to Singapore. For me it was difficult because one shoe of mine was grazing against my leg.and it hurts so as a result I have to walk like I have a limp. Anyway when we got on our Singapore flight we sat on the last seats. The flight attendants were hot and there were many of them. I was just staring at them and not even listening to the life drills. Anyway, we are losing time as Singapore and Malaysia is two and a half hours ahead of Indian standard time. Ok so we reached Singapore and our luggage didn't come with us as we boarded our flights too soon. So my parents as usual started to argue. So anyw...

So as we're travelling as a family to Singapore well, we're all obviously very excited to go.  It's our first family vacation or v acay as they now call it on instagram.  I'm actually very, truly, genuinely excited. I kind of instigated the whole thing. My brother and sister are also excited as I am. It's our first trip abroad. And we'll be sitting next to each other on the plane. Oh god! Please let everything go alright!  5 hours with them by my side..is something I'm not looking forward to. And yet I am. I just wanna have the best family vacation and the best damn time over there. And no stupid family fights and arguments that usually crop up. But that's something that's eventually going to happen atleast once. I'm just going to make the most out of this vacation. And a family one. Maybe we'll even bond more I don't know. Well, that's what family vacations are for right? I guess everyone should atleast have one family vacation atlea...

So, whenever you're watching your favorite family movie and suddenly the lights go off well, you feel like cursing the goddamn electricity department. But this time it was different. Well, the same scenario but only no cursing.  We were all gathered around the TV watching Mamma Mia ! When the lights went out. You can imagine our frustration. The best part was yet to come! Meryl streep, Pierce Brosnan and sexy Colin firth and more amazing ABBA songs! But instead of us whining.. We improvised. My sister and I started to sing ABBA songs as loud as we could. And it felt awesome!  the others were wondering what was wrong with us but we just sang till the lights did come on. And the best part wasn't even over yet. Actually, every part was the best part. And not to be a brag or anything but our voices rocked!  Friday night and the lights are low...looking out for a place to go.. and you know the rest.

A few months ago I had to give a speech on a random topic of our own choice. So I spoke on one of my favorite rock bands which is U2. It was quite different from what others spoke on. But different is good. And I didn't care 'cause I freakin' love U2!!  I know I'm probably their youngest fan. They were popular in the 80s and 90s. And my parents loved them. And well, I got mostly all the popular songs of my parents days stuck in long term memory in my head. Including U2. Well, first of all I don't care if they are ancient. They make awesome music. And  their music is so so good that it's impossible to keep quiet when their songs play on the radio. I love U2 for two reasons.  The first being because they're Irish boys. Or were Irish boys. I just love the Irish! I don't know why.  And Secondly because they make amazing music! I'm probably one of the few teenagers who love U2.  I have all their old hits on my music playlist and I keep hitting repeat. I ...

Have you ever seen a guy or girl that sometimes looks like they're out of this world? That one person in the crowd who catches your eye? And they look so wonderful that you think how can this person even exist? And how come I've never seen such a handsome/ beautiful person before?  have you ever had that feeling?  You stare at that stranger for as long as you can 'cause you know you're never gonna see them ever again. It sucks. But the sad truth is it happens. ( sad emoji) I remember going to the movies and waiting for the movie to start and I was resting against the wall looking down for some reason and as I looked up..I saw this face, so wonderful so magical... We had St. Patrick's day celebration in our capital...so we just decided to go and see the celebration. I personally love the Irish and their accent. I think it's absolutely lovely. Anyway, when me and my friends reached the place.. a t an instant I saw this Irish looking dude near the bar counter. He was like an angel come directly from heaven! I literally stood there and looked at him like I never saw a guy before. I was eyeing him the whole time. But, alas! I didn't muster up the courage to say hi to him. Night owls. We all know what they are. Duh. But the night owls that I'm referring to are not those birds who are nocturnal and have big eyes and who sometimes scare the shit out of you when you see one.. No. I'm talking about those people who can't go to sleep early. They are awake so late that you can say they go to sleep when the cock begins to crow.  There are people like that. I'm one of them. It's so hard to hit the haystack early. Or sometimes you don't feel like going to bed. During exams and tests 'Night owls' are up late studying while those 'early birds' prefer to make an early headstart at dawn..which I cannot possibly bring myself to do. Basically, whatever is convenient for us will work for us. But sleeping late does have an impact on your body...so I'm told. Which I'm sure is true. You start to get headaches, start falling asleep in the classroom,  your eyes look like shit.. And you eventually fall sick. My consulting doct...

You know how people say that there is a first for everything? Well,  I can definitely say or write that this is my first time blogging. It is weird but there are much more weird things than blogging I'm sure. Well, I  may not be a regular blogger or maybe I will who knows? But definitely I think that we should all try out different things that we haven't done before. It's the best way to learn and gain some knowledge and also give you that exciting and nervous feeling that everyone gets before starting something new. Like maybe when you're getting your first tattoo, or trying out paragliding or talking in front of an audience for the matter! That is some serious shit.well, I'm surely glad I decided to do this. I think I'm already starting to enjoy it.
